Please bring you child to their photo shoot with a zip up sweatshirt or cardigan so they do not mess up their hair and make up when taking it on and off.

This Photo Shoot is NOT compulsory however please let your Tutor know if you will not be attending so we do not wait for your daughter.

No jewellery is to be worn for photos please and it is best to take this off before arriving to prevent it getting lost. Any jewellery that cannot be removed such as bracelets they have had since they were young, or newly pierced earrings will need to be covered with tan coloured tape.

Students will require their dance knickers, dance shoes (if they normally wear them at class) and tights for the photo shoot. Please make sure these are clean and hole-free. They will not require the rest of their uniform. Please ensure that your child has a named bag to place all items of street/uniform clothing inside and shoes are clearly named as when students change it is very easy for items to get mixed up.

The photo shoots are held at The Ballet Academy Studio. Makeup and Hair is required for all students and parents will need to drop off their child at the Waiting Room door where we have volunteers to get them ready into their costumes and apply the lipstick. Due to students getting changed in the Waiting Room, no parents/siblings will be able to wait inside.

The Photo Shoot is for the programme and the photos will also be able for purchase after the show.

Ballet Students:

All Ballet students will require clean ballet shoes, ballet knickers and clean, hole free ballet tights for the show, photos and all rehearsals. Ballet knickers are $10.99 from PW Dance and Sportswear, 351 Colombo St. (Students should already own these as they are part of the uniform). We suggest a spare (named) pair of tights in their bag as accidents do happen.

Jazz Students:

All Jazz students will require clean jazz shoes and clean, hole free jazz tights. We suggest a spare (named) pair of tights in their bag as accidents do happen.

They are the Micro classic "Tan" tights from PW Dance and Sportswear, 351 Colombo St. They cost $12.99.

Tutus & Tiaras Students:

Oysters will require Ballet Tights, Ballet Knickers and Ballet Shoes (Shoes optional for Tutus & Tiaras - Level One) for all photos and all rehearsals.

Red Ants will only require Ballet Knickers. Ballet Shoes are optional.
